IndexGuard - Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection

We collect minimal anonymous data only.

Most of your information is stored locally on your device, including:

• Your investment rules
• Daily Guard check-in responses
• Behavior patterns and statistics (Local Use Only)
• Achievement progress
• All settings and preferences

This data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's secure local storage. This personal data never leaves your device.

2. Data Storage

Local Storage (On Your Device):

• UserDefaults: For app settings and preferences
• Local Storage: For your daily check-ins and rules
• Keychain: For secure data like device identifiers
• App Groups: To share data between the main app and widget extension

Cloud Storage (Anonymous Only):

• Firebase Firestore: For anonymous community features (Wailing Wall). Only stores anonymous messages with hashed device IDs - no personal information. Anonymous data is used solely for app service improvement, error reporting, and community feature maintenance.

3. Third-Party Services

IndexGuard uses the following external services:

• Fear & Greed Index API (api.alternative.me)
  • Used to fetch current market sentiment data
  • No personal information is sent
• Firebase (Google)
  • Firestore: Anonymous community posts storage
  • Remote Config: App configuration and feature flags
  • No personally identifiable information is collected
• RevenueCat / Apple StoreKit
  • For in-app purchase processing
  • Subscription management handled by Apple
  • We do not store payment information

No advertising networks. No behavioral tracking.

4. Permissions

IndexGuard may request the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send you reminders for Daily Guard check-ins (optional, you can disable anytime)
• Face ID / Touch ID: To secure your app with biometric authentication (optional)

These permissions are entirely optional and can be managed in your iPhone Settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share personal data with third parties.

Community features (Wailing Wall) allow you to share anonymous messages:

• Participation is entirely optional
• All posts are anonymous (hashed device ID only)
• No personal information is shared
• You can delete your posts anytime

User Responsibility: Users should avoid including personally identifiable information (real names, specific account details, etc.) in Wailing Wall posts. Index Guard is not legally responsible for content posted by users.

6. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Deleting the IndexGuard app will permanently delete all your data
• There is no backup on our servers (because we don't have servers!)
• You have complete control over your data

7. Children's Privacy

IndexGuard does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is designed for adult investors managing their investment psychology.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Displaying a notice within the app (for significant changes)

IndexGuard는 다음 외부 서비스를 사용합니다:

• Face ID / Touch ID: 생체 인증으로 앱 보안 (선택 사항)

이러한 권한은 전적으로 선택 사항이며 iPhone 설정에서 관리할 수 있습니다.

5. 데이터 공유

제3자와 개인 데이터를 공유하지 않습니다.

커뮤니티 기능(통곡의 벽)에서 익명 메시지를 공유할 수 있습니다:

• 참여는 전적으로 선택 사항입니다
• 모든 게시물은 익명입니다 (해시된 기기 ID만 사용)
• 개인 정보는 공유되지 않습니다
• 언제든지 게시물을 삭제할 수 있습니다

사용자 책임: 사용자는 통곡의 벽 게시물에 개인 식별 정보(실명, 특정 계좌 정보 등)를 포함하지 않도록 주의해야 합니다. Index Guard는 사용자가 게시한 콘텐츠에 대해 법적 책임을 지지 않습니다.

6. 데이터 삭제

모든 데이터가 기기에 로컬로 저장되므로:

• IndexGuard 앱을 삭제하면 모든 데이터가 영구적으로 삭제됩니다
• 서버에 백업이 없습니다 (서버가 없기 때문입니다!)
• 데이터에 대한 완전한 제어권이 있습니다

7. 아동 개인정보 보호

IndexGuard는 13세 미만 아동을 포함하여 누구로부터도 정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 이 앱은 투자 심리를 관리하는 성인 투자자를 위해 설계되었습니다.

8. 정책 변경

개인정보 처리방침을 수시로 업데이트할 수 있습니다. 다음과 같은 방법으로 변경 사항을 알려드립니다:
